Sara Noelle Delgado
Art Educator
Hi! My name is Sara Noelle Delgado.
I'm the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants and an avid film fanatic.
I've spent the last decade working in Animation, Film, and Illustration.
I've illustrated 3 children's books and produced one Independent Film.
I am an Art Teacher at two public schools in The Compton Unified School District .
My sincere enthusiasm for teaching is based in a strong desire to empower the young people of my community through art and creative expression.
I love to challenge myself and am excited to pass on a love of art and film.

Art is vital
it is a necessary experience. Art pushes our ability to think outside the box, to look at the world differently, and move forward creatively. Art allows us to express ourselves in ways we might not be able to otherwise.
Art education is essential because of its capacity to teach students to think creatively, critically, and to find an outlet for expression.
My goal is to provide young people with the artistic skills to channel their emotions in productive outlets that promote personal & emotional growth
My top two rules in class are:
1. Try your best: participate and engage creatively
2. Make the most of it: find an avenue for joy and expression in every class.
These rules are essential in teaching art because they foster perseverance and motivation in the art-making process.
Building an inclusive, culturally responsive curriculum that celebrates and honors my students’ diverse backgrounds and experiences, I aim to empower students to see themselves as capable artists, creative thinkers, and strong humans, helping them achieve that engagement and that joy.
Teaching Philosophy
My guiding drive as an artist is to tell stories of both
Human Emotion and Social Justice.
People and Activism.
As an Illustrator and an Animator, that is what my art is about. I create character-based illustrations that tell stories. All kinds of stories- stories to make you laugh and cry and rage, but most importantly, stories that speak on Social Justice, Diversity, and Representation.
My goal is for you to look at my illustrations and connect, to see all kinds of different people being alive and being human,
and to relate, to feel camaraderie.
That’s what I do with my art.
Through the use of vivid colors, bold lines, eye-catching expressions, and emotive body language, I hope to inspire you to believe that a different, better reality is possible because YOU can make a difference.
